Paradox Cat GmbH is a specialist software development partner in the area of real-time graphics from Munich, Germany. As a partner and supplier of various premium automotive manufacturers, we support graphical interface development for high-end in car cluster instruments and infotainment systems. In addition to this, PARADOX CAT GmbH has increasingly participated in Proof of Concept projects and feasibility studies in the Human Machine Interaction (HMI) spectrum. Here, we focus on the implementation of new emerging technologies and their usability and implementation in the car of the future.

Senior Functional Safety & AUTOSAR Classic Software Engineer FREELANCER (f/m/d) - Munich

You will:

Develop and integrate safety-relevant Embedded C application software in an AUTOSAR Classic environment

Design and implement Software Components and interfaces between ASW, RTE and BSW

Translate system and safety requirements into software architecture, requirements and implementation concepts

Implement QM and safety separation, safety monitoring, fault handling and safe-state behavior

Support safety-relevant input, touch and display functionality on embedded target platforms

Maintain traceability between requirements, architecture, implementation and verification

Prepare technical evidence for safety reviews and support integration, testing, change-impact analysis and defect resolution

Collaborate with platform, system, software and QA engineers and share AUTOSAR and safety knowledge within the team

You have:

A degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automotive engineering, embedded systems, a comparable qualification, or equivalent experience

Several years of professional embedded software development experience with strong Embedded C skills

Practical project experience with AUTOSAR Classic, ASW or SWC development, RTE, BSW interfaces and ARXML

Experience with at least one established AUTOSAR development or configuration toolchain

Strong practical knowledge of ISO 26262 at software level and ASIL-oriented development

Experience deriving and implementing Software Safety RequirementsPractical experience with QM and safety separation, safety monitoring, fault handling and safe-state mechanisms

Knowledge of safety-oriented software architecture, static analysis, structured reviews and verification

An evidence-based approach to technical documentation and an excellent standard of written and spoken English

Nice to have:

Experience with ASIL-B, safety islands, dedicated safety controllers or heterogeneous multicore platforms

Knowledge of Freedom from Interference, memory and timing protection, MISRA C, watchdogs and End-to-End protection

Experience with FMEA, FTA, FMEDA, HARA support or safety-case preparation

Experience with Vector DaVinci, Elektrobit tresos, ETAS ISOLAR, CANoe or CANalyzer

Knowledge of DEM, DCM, UDS, PduR, COM or related AUTOSAR modules

Knowledge of Automotive SPICE, IEC 61508, Performance Level or SIL-related development

Experience with safety-relevant HMI, touch or display functions and NXP i.MX or comparable ARM platforms

Adaptive AUTOSAR knowledge in addition to AUTOSAR Classic

Knowledge of written and spoken German
