CLOUD ENGINEER (f/m/d)

Founded in 2025, Omnisent is a Munich-based defense technology company developing fully autonomous, Counter-UAS system. We are a small, high-output team from Cambridge, Imperial College, MIT, and BCG united by a mission to redefine modern airspace security. Tasks We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to lead Omnisent's cloud infrastructure from first principles, building a secure, EU-sovereign foundation for our ML and product systems. Lead the design and development of Omnisent's cloud infrastructure and strategy Set up cloud infrastructure from first principles using AWS and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform Build and maintain ML infrastructure to support model training, deployment, and monitoring Ensure infrastructure decisions account for EU data sovereignty requirements Act as the primary point of contact for external cloud and infrastructure partners Coordinate cloud development efforts across the Omnisent engineering team Requirements Strong experience with AWS and cloud infrastructure design Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or equivalent) Understanding of EU data sovereignty and compliance requirements Experience building ML infrastructure Comfortable owning infrastructure strategy end-to-end, from architecture to partner coordination EU work authorization Bonus: Experience in regulated or defense-adjacent industries Background setting up infrastructure for early-stage startups Benefits Competitive Compensation: Highly competitive cash comp, along with virtual stock options, that reflect your experience and the value you bring.
