Engineering Manager / Team Lead - Product We're looking for an Engineering Manager who's both a technical leader and a product builder. You'll guide a cross-functional team (5-10 engineers across backend, frontend, mobile, and QA) in delivering products that create real value for hundreds of thousands of businesses across Europe. What You Will Be Doing You're a seasoned technical leader with strong engineering roots and a track record of building teams that ship products that matter. You communicate clearly with everyone – engineers, product managers, executives – and you're genuinely curious about the product, the users, the business, and how your team's work drives real impact. You don't just manage delivery. You challenge problem framing with your PM partner, ensure the team solves the right problems, and think in terms of business outcomes, not just technical outputs. You're comfortable discussing retention and conversion funnels alongside system architecture. You help the team understand ROI and prioritize based on value and effort. You have deep technical expertise and can still step in to unblock when needed. You balance feature delivery with technical debt, keeping scalability in mind while ensuring the team ships at pace. You make technical decisions through explicit trade-offs, not gut feelings, and help everyone understand the "why" behind choices. You take ownership of both outcomes and people. You run meaningful 1:1s, create growth plans, and own hiring and promotions. You build engaged teams through honest feedback and coaching. You invest in making the team more productive – better tools, smarter processes, fewer bottlenecks. You drive predictable delivery by partnering tightly with Product and Design. You communicate proactively about priorities, risks, and constraints. You encourage healthy debate and move toward "disagree and commit" when needed. Who You Are 5+ years of software development building data-intensive production systems Proven track record leading cross-functional engineering teams Deep technical knowledge: hands-on experience with at least one of the common general-purpose languages and platforms (C#/.NET, Java/JVM, JavaScript/Node, Go), distributed architectures, databases, messaging and queueing systems. Experience in product-led organizations, ideally with international scopeStrong business acumen – you connect engineering work to revenue, retention, and trust Comfortable with product metrics (DAU/MAU, retention, conversion funnels) Exceptional communication in English across all audiencesA builder's mentality: you care about shipping great products and growing great teams Our tech stack Backend: .NET Core, PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Kubernetes You'll lead teams using React, Swift/Kotlin, Python/ML frameworks, and modern QA tools What You Will Get In Return Make a genuine impact on the product We're a growing fintech serving hundreds of thousands of European businesses.
